The app offers a full user experience even in its free version.
A few convenience features can be purchased with a monthly or annual subscription.
These include:
- Storing more than three albums at a time in downloaded form on your mobile device. It would be possible to store up to 118 albums here, but often the free storage capacity of the phone is the determining factor. Playing locally stored music albums does not involve network data traffic.
Note: Users of the free version can also replace downloaded albums. They can delete stored albums, allowing them to download new albums from the cloud.
- Playing more than five albums from the cloud (Google Drive) without storing. Subscription allows you to play an unlimited number of albums from cloud storage. This is especially useful for users with unlimited data traffic. In this case, the songs on the selected page of the music album are downloaded to a temporary storage location. This content will no longer be available after playback, as the next online playback will overwrite the previous one. Data traffic costs can also be kept under control, as you can enable or disable mobile data traffic for the app in the settings.
Note: Playback is not streamed because the app would become unstable if the internet connection were interrupted. We decided against this approach. Downloading a normal album page (approx. 15-20 minutes music) takes a few seconds even with a 4G connection, after which playback starts, which does not detract from the user experience.
- The third and final subscription option is more of an extra feature: a control button can be activated above the scroll button, allowing you to view the simulated space by moving the camera yourself. Movement is limited to the environment of music players and album storage devices.
- Planned subscription options (with adequate financial support): choice of record player types, choice of other equipment in the simulated space, customization of the environment.
The free version also allows you to try out the subscription experience without the aforementioned limitations. For beta testers, the limitations can be lifted for 14 days, and for the final version, for 7 days. We also ask free users to support our work with donations!
