Mobile application
For Playing Self-Made Music Albums From Google Drive
A realistic 3D application created with the Unity 3D engine. It has a retro feel, allowing you to play vinyl records on a Hi-Fi record player.
The simulated space is a room with a view through the window onto a sunny garden. Furniture: tables, two lamps, a pair of speakers, two record storage units (with space for up to 2 x 118 records), the one on the left contained music albums in the cloud stored, the one on the right for music albums downloaded to your phone. An analog retro Denon stereo Hi-Fi amplifier and the classic Technics SL1200 MK5 turntable set the mood for listening to music. Selecting and flipping through albums, placing the record on the turntable, and viewing the cover are animated. In addition, only the turntable has animations at this time: the rotation of the platter, the movement of the arm in the horizontal and vertical directions, the movement of the lift, and lighting effects.
The animations and camera movements are predefined and start when the functions are selected. In the paid version, it is possible to view the simulated space using the control in the upper right corner.
Features
Selecting an album and playing music in a simulated space
This music player, created with the Unity 3D game engine, provides a genuine user experience. When running the app in the foreground, animations and camera movements can be enjoyed even on older devices (iPhone XS or Xiaomi Mi 9). The music player running in the background requires minimal performance, ensuring long battery life for your mobile phone.
- Controls are simple, with clear symbols.
Classic music playback control buttons in the app, some of which are available on Bluetooth devices and Apple CarPlay (Android Auto) connections, even when running in the background.
- Browse albums stored on your mobile device and in the cloud.
You can scroll up and down through albums in two holders that can store up to 118-118 discs. - Ad-free, even without purchasing Pro features.
We hope that enough users will purchase the Pro add-on to keep the app ad-free. If possible, please donate as a free user to help develop the app. We would like to incorporate further improvements and additions into the app. Development is only taking place on one multi-platform (iOS, Android), and there are no separate free and pro versions. - If you don’t download or play music from the cloud, you don’t need an internet connection.
The app can automatically manage and monitor two types of internet connections (Wi-Fi, mobile internet) while running. Location data must be provided for security reasons so that the app can access the OS network resources. While playing music, you can always see whether you are in mobile data, Wi-Fi, or offline mode. You can enable or disable mobile data traffic in the settings. - You can use lossless music formats (wav, flac), mp3 is also supported.
Our app aims to stand out from competing apps in terms of high-quality music playback. We chose the uncompressed wav format and the lossless flac format, which requires fewer resources and less storage space. We recommend using lossless formats, but we have also retained support for mp3 due to its popularity. For now, only these three formats are supported, but we may expand this number in the future. Support for these three formats is also problem-free under iOS. Native media playback allows for music streaming via Apple CarPlay, for example. (Note: MyTurntable is not a native CarPlay app.)
Thanks to Glitch9 Inc. for developing the Native Media Player (Android & iOS) asset for Unity3D!
What can you do?
Top-rated Services Of The MyTurntable
It’s very easy to use: with a single touch, you can browse your album library, select an album, and choose a playback page. You can even control music playback safely while driving.
Local store browse view mode. We browse through the albums stored on the mobile phone – with the bottom right button selected. We are currently playing the Shakira album (it appears dimmer with the cover folded down). The media controls can be used, with the settings menu item to the left of it. We have the option to search for another album, select it (grab), or delete it.
Note: only albums that are not currently selected for playback can be deleted.
Side selection mode. After selecting an album (grab) for playback, a disc selection screen appears (click on the discs where we see the list of playable tracks). Here, we can choose from four sides of a double discs album; X returns us to the album selection screen.
Note: After the first image and in other cases, we can see animations and camera movements accompanied by sound effects. For example, the cover rises, the disc slides out, it lands on the player, which starts up, the platter begins to spin, the arm moves, the needle descends, etc.
Player view mode. After selecting a page, the playback interface appears and the camera position automatically changes (bottom center button – the button for the currently selected item is not visible).
Options: numbers on the disc page, information about the song currently playing (see image), view cover, media control buttons, settings.
Cover view mode. Many things are prohibited in this mode, e.g. you cannot switch to another interface (select another album), only media control options are available. You can flip through the cover with animated rotation, and if there are inserts, they can also be viewed. There is also a 2x zoom option, which is particularly useful for higher resolution images.
Cloud store browse view mode. Album library in the cloud (button at the bottom left).
Options: browse albums, re-read entire library content (on connected Google Drive) load album information (more time-consuming), search only for the new content and load album information, play from the cloud (only the selected album page is downloaded to temporary storage), download and store the entire album to your mobile phone memory (it will be stored in the right-hand storage).
The application can communicate with the user in 33 languages, with English as the default.
The built-in language module can take over the default language settings of the mobile phone, but the appropriate language can also be selected manually in the settings (note: not active during media playback). Supported languages: English, Spanish, French, Hindi, German, Arabic, Bulgarian, Chinese, Czech, Danish, Dutch, Estonian, Finnish, Greek, Hebrew, Hungarian, Indonesian, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Latvian, Lithuanian, Norwegian, Polish, Portuguese, Romanian, Russian, Slovak, Slovenian, Swedish, Turkish, Ukrainian, Vietnamese.
